We are looking for a candidate who possesses a solid understanding of system architecture and design
principles. They should have the ability to develop scalable and reliable systems that meet performance,
availability, and security requirements. Proficiency in cloud computing platforms like AWS, Azure, or GCP is a
requirement. In addition, the candidate should have a strong understanding of automation and Infrastructure
as Code (IaC). Troubleshooting and problem-solving skills are vital for success in this role. It is crucial that the
candidate stays up to date with industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to drive reliability
and performance enhancements. AddPay is Payment Card Industry Data Security Standard (PCI DSS) compliant
and certified, as well as in the process of implementing ISO 27001 [an international standard to manage
information security].
The norm is working regular office hours but getting results always takes top priority.
Application deployments may take place in the evening, and the time spent on these deployments will be
accounted for separately from normal office hours. We embrace a hybrid working environment, allowing our
team members to work both on-site and remotely. As a result, proficiency in virtual team management and
the ability to manage deliverables in a virtual setting are essential requirements for this position.

Requirements
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
• Solid understanding of system design, networking, and distributed systems.
• Strong experience with AWS services, such as EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda.
• Proficient in Linux command-line interface with a solid understanding of Linux operating systems.
• Experience with infrastructure as code frameworks, preferably Terraform.
• Proficiency in PHP and experience with the Laravel framework.
• Experience with automation and configuration management tools.
• Familiarity with containerization technologies such as Docker.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced and agile environment.
• Prior experience in DevOps or related roles.
Desirable skills & Certifications:
• AWS Certified Developer – Associate or Professional Certification
• Experience with continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines.
• Familiarity with monitoring and logging tools like ELK stack, Prometheus, Grafana or Datadog.
• Knowledge of other web development languages and frameworks is a plus.
Responsibilities:
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and implement reliable, scalable, and efficient
infrastructure solutions.
• Design, deploy, and maintain highly available systems on AWS, ensuring optimal performance,
scalability, and security.
• Develop and implement monitoring, alerting, and incident response procedures to proactively
identify and address potential issues.
• Perform root cause analysis of system failures and implement corrective actions to prevent
recurrence.
• Optimize system performance through capacity planning, load testing, and continuous performance
monitoring.
• Extend the automation infrastructure and deployment processes using industry best practices and
tools.
• Collaborate with development teams to improve the reliability, scalability, and operability of
applications.
• Assist in developing reliable applications.
• Stay up to date with the latest industry trends and emerging technologies related to site reliability
engineering
