We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Senior Sales Person/Sales Manager to lead and optimize our sales operations in Johannesburg. The ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in driving revenue growth, managing key client relationships, and ensuring operational excellence within the Sales department. Leveraging your deep understanding of financial technology solutions, you will engage with prospective clients, build strong relationships, and provide tailored solutions addressing their specific needs. This role requires a strategic thinker with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in sales within the financial technology sector.

The norm is working regular office hours but getting results always takes top priority. We embrace a hybrid working environment, allowing our team members to work both on-site and remotely. As a result, proficiency in virtual team management and the ability to manage deliverables in a virtual setting are essential requirements for this position.

Commencement Date: 1st March 2024 or ASAP

Three-month on-site initial training in Stellenbosch (Head Office).

Requirements:

  • General business experience / acumen
  • Proven experience in sales management with a track record of achieving revenue targets.
  • Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
  • Ability to build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Strategic thinker with a results-oriented mindset.
  • Familiarity with software and ERP systems and sales analytics tools.
  • Familiarity with digital marketing channels and strategies.
  • Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport is essential.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, or a related field OR recognised business related diploma.

 

Duties and Responsibility Span:

Responsibilities include (but are not limited to):

  • Actively participate, foster open communication, and promote a collaborative, results-driven culture within the Sales team, working closely with members to manage client demands.
  • Compile and maintain a prioritized action list aligned with commercial demands, ensuring efficient task execution to meet organizational objectives.
  • Manage contractors and staff to achieve key performance areas, providing mentorship and support for career advancement within the Sales team.
  • Establish and maintain organizational excellence in Sales Operations, implementing best practices to streamline processes and enhance overall efficiency.
  • Specify software and ERP needs for supporting sales to the DevOps Manager, collaborating with IT teams for seamless technology integration.
  • Run the office, manage responsibilities, and handle inventory management.
  • Specify enhancements in Cashier App, PayCloud, and other platforms to enhance Partner and Distributor value, working closely with development teams to implement approved changes.
  • Develop and nurture key client relationships, facilitate effective communication for successful project rollouts, and maintain relationships with the current client base through up-to-date CRM software management.
  • Conduct active daily sales and marketing operations, meet or exceed sales targets, educate clients on offerings, travel when required, analyse new markets, and propose innovative ideas to increase sales.
  • Manage the entire process of merchant acquisition, from sales through contracting and onboarding, while enhancing Merchant Onboarding processes and User Interfaces.
  • Manage commercial relationships with Acquirers for Device Hosting, PSP Services, and Merchant Operations, collaborating with stakeholders to optimize service delivery.
  • Implement and manage marketing directives, including digital channels, ensuring effective utilization of marketing strategies to drive sales.
  • Create and sustain a competitive playing field, identify market opportunities, and capitalize on them to achieve revenue targets.
  • Provide regular reports to the Senior Manager of Client and Sales Operations on client and Sales Operations status, sharing insights and recommendations for continuous improvement.
  • Foster and maintain a problem-solving culture within the greater team, encouraging innovation and proactive approaches to challenges.
