PROJECT MANAGER FINTECH

AddPay (Pty) Ltd is a successful fintech located in Techno Park, Stellenbosch. We have grown by implementing new ideas and equipment in the payment processing industry to enrich payment solutions with automation and great tech. We have a flat structure which results in a broad span of control for our team members with clear recognition and full accountability for contributions. Our business scope spans from ecommerce through to new generation android point of sale solutions. We are looking for someone that will own the position with a purpose to create a positive legacy.

The primary competencies are:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Project Manager who will play a crucial role in overseeing and managing the successful execution of fintech projects within our organization. Your responsibilities will encompass the planning, coordination, execution, monitoring, and completion of projects while ensuring alignment with business goals, timelines, and quality standards. The ideal candidate should have a proven track record of at least 7+ years in project management, with a focus on specialist projects within the fintech industries. You will play a key role in our development team, working on various projects to deliver high-quality software solutions

Commencement Date: 1st June 2024 or ASAP
Cost-to-company Salary: Competitive market related remuneration package
Leave: 18 workdays per annum (1.5 workdays per month)

Responsibilities:
• Define project scope, goals, and deliverables in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Developing comprehensive project plans, outlining tasks, timelines, resources and
dependencies.
• Efficiently execute project plans by overseeing task execution, resource allocation, and budget
management, while closely monitoring progress, tracking milestones, and ensuring adherence
to timelines.
• Identify, assess, and manage project risks while developing and executing robust risk mitigation
strategies to ensure the successful completion of the project.
• Ensure open and transparent communication to manage expectations and
keep stakeholders and senior management informed project status and progress.
• Define and enforce quality standards for project deliverables and conduct regular quality checks
to ensure that the final product meets established criteria.
• Manage changes to project scope, timelines, and requirements, assessing their impact and
making necessary adjustments.
• Implement quality assurance processes and standards to ensure deliverables meet or exceed
customer expectations. Conduct regular quality reviews, perform testing and validation
activities, and address any discrepancies or deficiencies promptly to maintain project quality
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date project documentation, including project plans, schedules,
and reports and generate regular status reports for stakeholders and leadership

Requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Computer Science, or a related field (Master’s preferred).
• Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or similar qualification preferred.
• Proven experience (7+ years) as a project manager in fintech or related industries.
• Strong understanding of fintech products, technologies, and trends.
• Proficiency in project management tools and software.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Attention to detail and commitment to quality

This role will be report to the Director of Technology and Operations and will be based in Techno Park, Stellenbosch. We offer a flexible hybrid work environment model that can be implemented.
